Trail Directions
There are several variations of the Sequoia Bayview loop. The map below shows two of them, one incorporates Graham and Dunn Trail, while the other one includes the Big Trees loop. Starting at Skyline Gate, take West Ridge Trail for 1.75 miles, going behind the Chabot Observatory. Past the Observatory, follow the driveway down to Skyline Boulevard. Cross Skyline and go left, and soon you will see the entrance to the Sequoia Arena on the right. Enter the driveway and head to the restrooms ahead, behind these restrooms you will catch Sequoia Bayview Trail. Go left onto Sequoia Bayview, follow the trail straight for 1.6 miles. The trail ends at Skyline Blvd., and at this turnaround, you can either go left up to Big Trees Trail (Big Trees eventually connects to Sequoia Bayview, where you can turn right and go back the way you came). Or, at the turnaround, cross the street and turn left, following Skyline a short distance until you see a gate to a trail on the right. Go down the trail and stay to the left until you reach Dunn Trail. Turn left onto Dunn, then left onto Graham. Graham leads back to West Ridge Trail; proceed straight on West Ridge back to the starting point.
